King Cakes are traditional treats similar to a coffe cake or Danish roll made during the Mardi Gras "Carnival Season" in New Orleans. Legend goes: The cake has a plastic baby inside and usually the person who gets the slice of king cake with the baby has to purchase the next king cake for the group.

We are going to slice the cakes into portions and have the customers select the cake of their choice. Slices of king cake will have a separate novelty baby inside that will be one of 4 carnival colors, purple, green or gold, and traditional flesh color. The flesh color baby will have no value, the purple color baby will be worth a $10.00 dollar gift certificate, the green color baby will be worth $20.00 dollar gift certificate and the gold color baby will be worth $50.00 gift certificate. Porcelain figurine $200.00 gift certificate.
