2010 Harley Davidson XR 1200

The
2010 Harley Davidson XR1200 was inspired by
Harley's classic XR750 that ruled the flat-track circuit of racing. The
motorcycle's main focus is to excel in the street performance scene. It is more competition for other street bike brands such as Honda or Suzuki. It is surely a formidable opponent and its looks as well as its power demonstrate that.
The
2010 Harley XR1200 uses the 1200cc Evolution V-Twin engine with downdraft fuel injection. The engine has precision-cooled cylinder heads and a large-capacity oil cooler. The
harley is equipped with a brushed, straight-shot, high performance exhaust with dual mufflers. The handlebar is both low-rise and wide. There is a large tachometer centered on the handlebar as well as a compact, digital speedometer.
The air-cooled Evolution engine on the
H-D XR 1200 has oil-cooled heads. The valves are pushrod-operated and overhead with hydraulic, self-adjusting lifters. There are two valves per cylinder. The displacement on the engine is 73.30 cubic inches. Compression ratio is 10.0:1. The XR 1200 uses Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. The air cleaner on the
bike is a paper cartridge. The lubrication system is dry-sump. The clutch is multi-plate and wet. The transmission is a 5 speed.
The chassis on the
Harley-Davidson XR1200 uses a mild steel tubular frame with circular sections and cast junctions. The swingarm is cast aluminum. The rear shocks are coil-over and preload dual-adjustable. The brakes use dual 4-piston calipers with a fixed front and a single-piston floating rear caliper. The rotors are patented with uniform expansion.
The engine torque on the
motorcycle is 73.91 ft. lbs. at 4000 rpms. Dimensions of the bike include a length of 85.40 inches, an overall width of 36.50 inches, and an overall height of 45.10 inches. Ground clearance is 5.80 inches. Rake is 29.3 degrees. Fork angle is 27.8 degrees. Tires are Dunlop
Harley-Davidson Series radial black walls that sit in the front and rear of the
bike. Fuel capacity of the
bike 3.50 gallons, oil capacity is 2.80 quarts and transmission capacity is 1 quart. Fuel economy is rated at 38 city and 53 highway. The
H-D XR1200 uses a single-phase charging, sealed, maintenance-free 12 volt battery. The starter is electric with solenoid shift motor engagement. The headlamp on the
bike is halogen and shoots a 55-watt low beam and a 60-watt high beam. Indicator lamps display low oil pressure, engine diagnostics, low fuel warning, and a low battery. Colors include Vivid Black, Brilliant Silver Denim and Mirage Orange Pearl.
