The 2010 Fat Boy Lo retains the essence of the Fat Boy while still being able to stand on its own. It is lower than the Fat Boy as evident in its name. It has a re-shaped seat and a lowered suspension. The seat height is the lowest of any of the Harley-Davidson models. The lower seat allows for the rider?s feet to easily touch the ground when at a stop.


The 2010 Fat Boy Lo has a leather tank panel with a signature Harley-Davidson medallion. The tank on the bike is satin- chrome and contains side badges. The triple clamp covers, nacelle, headlight bucket, air cleaner cover trim ring, rear fender supports, and footboards come painted a gloss black. The power train is powder-coated black and comes with satin-chrome covers. The bike has an over/under shotgun exhaust with satin-chrome mufflers and muffler shields, and flat-black header shields. The handlebar is internally wired and is stainless steel. The front fender is rolled and the rear fender offers full coverage over the back tire.

The engine that comes outfitted on the Fat Boy Lo is the air-cooled, Twin Cam 96BTM. The valves are overhead with hydraulic, self-adjusting lifters and are pushrod-operated. There are two valves per cylinder. The displacement on the engine is 96 cubic inches. The compression ratio is 9.2:1. The fuel system is Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. The air cleaner is paper and is washable. The lubrication system is pressurized and is dry-sump. The clutch is a wet, multi-plate. The transmission is Harley's 6-speed Cruise Drive.

The chassis on the 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Boy Lo has a mild steel tubular frame with a rectangular section backbone as well as stamped, cast, and forged junctions. The Fat Boy Lo also has forged fender supports and is MIG welded. The swingarm on the Harley is mild steel with round tube sections and forged junctions. It is MIG welded. The dimensions on the Fat Boy Lo include a length of 94.30 inches, an overall width of 39.20 inches, and an overall height of 44.30 inches. Ground clearance is 4.80 inches, rake is 31.6 degrees and fork angle is 31.6 degrees. The tires on the Fat Boy Lo are Dunlop-Harley Davidson Series radial black walls. Fuel capacity on this bike is 5 gallons. Oil capacity is 3.50 quarts and transmission capacity is 1 quart. Color options include Vivid Black and Black Denim.
