2010 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic

The
2010 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic is a touring
bike similar to the other touring bikes in
Harley's lineup; however, this particular model is set up for the rider who would prefer to have more electronics aboard their motorcycle. This model comes with an added Tour-Pak as well as a 40-watt Advance Audio System. New paint color options and graphics are also available for the
2010 Electra Glide Classic.
The
Electra Glide Classic come standard with a black-powder coated powertrain with chrome covers. It has a chrome 2-1-2 dual exhaust with tapered mufflers. Black, 28-spoke cast aluminum wheels with whitewall tires add style to this
Harley. A fork-mounted fairing with a bat-wing design is at the front of the
bike. A Lexan windshield comes attached to the fairing. Trim adorns the front fender. A stainless steel, easy to reach handlebar sits atop this
motorcycle. The tour pack as well as saddlebags are injection molded. Mounted on the fairing is an electronic speedometer with a tachometer as well as fuel, voltage, oil pressure and ambient air temperature gauges. A 40-watt, two speaker Advanced Audio System by Harmon/Karmon finishes off this package.
The rubber-mounted Twin Cam 96 V-Twin engine has Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection as well as heated oxygen sensors and Electronic Throttle Control. The engine is also air-cooled. The valves are pushrod-operated, overhead valves with self-adjusting lifters. There are two valves per cylinder. The displacement on the engine is 96 cubic inches. The compression ratio is 9.2.:1. The air cleaner on the bike is handily washable. The lubrication system is pressurized with a dry-sump drive train. The clutch is a wet multi-plate. The
2010 Electra Glide Classic's transmission is the 6-Speed Cruise Drive.
The chassis of the
2010 Electra Glide has a mild steel tubular frame. It has a two-piece stamped and welded backbone, cast and forged junctions, twin downtubes and a bolt-on rear frame with forged fender supports. The chassis is also MIG welded. The swingarm on the bike is a mild steel as wheel. There is a two-piece drawn and welded section with forged junctions. The swingarm is MIG welded just like the frame. The front forks of the
harley motorcycle are 41.33 mm and they are telescopic with triple circuit damping. The wheels are black, 28-spoke cast aluminum. The calipers on the bike are 4-piston fixed front and rear. The rotors are patented and fixed. An Anti-Lock Brake System is available as an option.
The performance of the
2010 Electra Glide Classic is encouraging. The engine torque is 92.60 ft. lbs.@ 3500 rpm. The fuel economy of the
motorcycle is 35 city and 54 highway. The battery in the
bike is a 12-volt that is sealed and maintenance-free. The starter is electric and has a solenoid shift starter motor engagement. The headlamp on the
Harley is halogen and displays 55-watts of light on low beam and 60-watts on high beam.
The
2010 Electra Glide Classic's dimensions are 98.3 in length, 38.0 in overall width, and 61.0 in overall height. Ground clearance is 5.10 in. and rake (steering head) is 26 degrees. Fuel capacity for the
Electra Glide Classic is 6 gallons. Oil capacity is at 4 quarts and transmission capacity is 1 quart. There are also different color options for the bike. The solid colors include Vivid Black, Brilliant Silver Pearl, Flame Blue Pearl, and Red Hot Sunglo. The two-tone color available is the Flame Blue Pearl/ Brilliant Silver Pearl.
